Turner Field Visit

The Sport Administration class visited Turner Field on Thursday, October 22nd.

Terrific weather, an excellent tour guide (Andy), and an engaged group of students made for a very nice outing.

Site visit assignments are due by Monday.

Ruthsatz to Speak

Steve Ruthsatz, Operations Manager for Reinhardt College Athletics, spoke to the Sport Administration class on Thursday, August 27th.

With an extensive background in sports information and athletic management at the intercollegeiate and professional levels, Mr. Ruthsatz provides students a broad perspective of the sport industry. Before coming to Reinhardt, he worked as Sports Information Director at Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, and Tusculum College, and as an assistant in media relations with the Atlanta Hawks . Steve also worked with the 1996 Atlanta Olympics as an interview room coordinator.

In addition to sharing some of his personal experiences, Ruthsatz also discussed expectations for the Event Management project students are required to complete with the Athletic Department this semester.
